Though only researching into Anderson's work this year in 2021, it's

no surprise that I would love his visual work looking at the general

pastel colour scheme and vintage aesthetic of my previous work. I

was heavily inspired by retro 60's style commercials and magazines

and wanted my audience to be transported to a different world, much

like Anderson's fictional locations like the quirky town of Ennui-sur-

Blasé (Bordemn-on-Apathy) in The French Dispatch. In my

photography I used a grain filter for that old look which is something

that I noticed Anderson do too in his films which was very effective. I

noticed that he also liked to film in a 1.37x1 aspect ratio which is

reminiscent of the style from the 1930's, further giving that vintage

feel. Experimenting with different aspect ratios is something that I

should definitely keep in mind if I want my work to look more

accurate to an era.
