CONTEXT & PLOT

Based on my primer project, I brought the idea of celebrating death

anniversaries to my group. We decided that we wanted to create a

silent film that was strong enough to relay the sentiments of

loneliness, delusion and dwelling on the past. Although our film is

about someone's spirit, we didn't want it to come across as creepy or

spiritual, but rather as something bittersweet and sad.

The plot is about a person who lives alone and every death

anniversary of her best friend she prepares an elaborate dinner for

both of them to enjoy as her friend still lives in her mind in spirit. We

wanted to lead the audience down the path of thinking that she was

preparing and communicating with a real human, and then the ending

would reveal that there was no one there this whole time.
